The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has announced that all students in university-owned residential facilities must vacate their halls and hostels by 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025, as the institution begins its official first semester break from April 25 to May 24, 2025.
According to a notice signed by Dr. Paul Kwadwo Addo, Deputy Registrar and Secretary to the Residence Committee, students are required to take all personal belongings with them when leaving, as the university will not be held liable for any items left behind.
However, those who wish to store items may use designated storerooms within their halls or hostels, where available.
International students who intend to remain on campus during the break must register with their respective hall or hostel authorities and are expected to keep them informed about their movements at all times for safety reasons.
They are also reminded to strictly adhere to all university rules during the break period.
The notice also directs any students requiring psychosocial or counselling support to contact the Directorate of Student Affairs (DoSA).
The university extended its best wishes to all students for a restful vacation and safe travels.
